General
What is Tree Launcher?
Tree Launcher is an Android home screen replacement that combines a full app launcher with a Notion-like productivity workspace. It organizes everything — apps, notes, tasks, links, and more — into a hierarchy of pages that you navigate by swiping left and right.
Is Tree Launcher free?
Yes! The core launcher experience is completely free — pages, items, search, tags, customization, backup, and more. A Pro subscription unlocks advanced features like Canvas widgets, Weather, RSS feeds, AI content generation, and additional customization options. See Pro Features.
What Android versions are supported?
Tree Launcher supports Android 7.0 (API 24) and above.
Does Tree Launcher replace my current home screen?
Yes. Tree Launcher is a full home screen replacement. When you set it as your default launcher, it replaces the traditional app grid with Tree Launcher's page-based interface. You can always switch back to your previous launcher in Android settings.
Content & Organization
Can I organize my apps in Tree Launcher?
Absolutely. You can place app shortcuts on any page and organize them into a hierarchy — by category, project, or however you prefer. See Apps & Contacts.
How deep can I nest pages?
There's no limit. You can create pages within pages to any depth.
Can I use Tree Launcher for note-taking?
Yes. Tree Launcher supports text blocks, headings, bullets, numbered lists, blockquotes, tasks, images, and links. It's designed to work like a lightweight note-taking app right on your home screen. See Text Content.
Does Tree Launcher support markdown?
Yes. Text blocks support CommonMark markdown rendering, and you can export any page as markdown. See Text Content.
Data & Privacy
Where is my data stored?
Your content is stored locally on your device. When you use Google Drive backup, a copy is stored in your personal Google Drive account. We don't have access to your content.
How do I back up my data?
Use the Google Drive backup feature in Settings → Backup. See Backup & Restore.
Can I export my data?
Yes. You can export any page as markdown using the Export feature. See Sharing & Export.
What happens if I uninstall Tree Launcher?
Your local data is deleted when you uninstall the app. If you have a Google Drive backup, you can restore your data when you reinstall. Always back up before uninstalling.
Pro Subscription
What does Pro include?
Pro unlocks Canvas pages, Weather widgets, RSS feeds, AI content generation, font selection (65+ fonts), font/icon size adjustment, widget stack header, and PIN protection. See Pro Features.
How do I subscribe to Pro?
Open Tree Launcher and go to Settings → Tree Launcher Pro to view subscription options and subscribe.
How do I cancel Pro?
Manage your subscription through the Google Play Store: Play Store → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Tree Launcher.
Do I lose my Pro content if I cancel?
No. Content you created with Pro features remains in your pages. However, you won't be able to create new Pro items or access Pro-only settings until you resubscribe.
Troubleshooting
My items disappeared — how do I get them back?
Check the Recycle Bin first (Settings → Recycle Bin). Deleted items are recoverable for 30 days. If they're not there, try restoring from a Google Drive backup. See Troubleshooting.
Tree Launcher isn't responding to the Home button.
Make sure Tree Launcher is set as your default home app: Device Settings → Apps → Default Apps → Home App → select Tree Launcher.
