Getting Started
Get up and running with Tree Launcher — your new Android home screen.
Welcome to Tree Launcher
Tree Launcher is an Android home screen replacement that combines a full app launcher with a Notion-like productivity workspace. Instead of the traditional grid of app icons, Tree Launcher organizes everything — apps, notes, tasks, links, and more — into a hierarchy of pages that you navigate by swiping left and right.

Setting Tree Launcher as Your Home Screen
- Install Tree Launcher from the Google Play Store
- Press the Home button on your device
- When prompted to choose a home app, select Tree Launcher
- Choose Always to make it your default home screen
If you missed the prompt, go to your device's Settings > Apps > Default Apps > Home App and select Tree Launcher.
Your First Page
When you first open Tree Launcher, you'll see your Home page — a clean, scrollable list. This is your starting point for organizing everything.

Adding Your First Items
- Tap the + button or enter Edit Mode (tap the pencil icon in the toolbar)
- Choose an item type from the menu — try Text to start
- Type your content and tap away to save
You can add apps, notes, tasks, links, images, and much more. See Item Types for the full list.
Navigation Basics
Tree Launcher uses a spatial navigation model:
- Swipe right on a page item to enter it (go deeper)
- Swipe left to go back to the parent page
- Think of it like a file explorer — left goes up, right goes down

Building Your Tree
The power of Tree Launcher is in nesting. Create pages inside pages to organize your life:
- Work — Projects, meetings, notes
- Personal — Shopping lists, recipes, goals
- Hobbies — Reading lists, game notes, collections
There's no limit to how deep your tree can go. Organize things the way that makes sense to you.
