Tree Launcher ("App") is owned and operated by Navillus Software Inc. ("Owner" and "Controller"), a corporation registered in Alberta, Canada.

Why Data Is Collected
Tree Launcher may, after being granted explicit user consent, for the sole purpose of enhancing functionality and features, request access to private user data. Users can grant or deny data access to Tree Launcher, and can revoke this permission at any time. Tree Launcher does not store user data on our backend services. Any data stored locally on the user's device is done so anonymously. Your data is not sold to third parties.
Tree Launcher is ad free and does not use collected data to show personalized advertising.
What Data Is Collected?
Usage Data
Usage data is collected by integrated third party services for the purposes of performing analysis to improve the application or to share aggregated statistics with the public. The data is sent to the third party services for handling and storage. Further details can be found below in the "What Third Party Services Are Used?" section.
Locally Stored Data
Locally stored data is only saved to the user's device and is not collected by services owned/operated by the Controller, nor is it explicitly sent to third party services. The exception to this is if a user has elected to use Google app backup, in which case the App's local state is stored/synced in the user's personal Google Drive account storage.
Personal data may be accessed and stored locally by the App after explicit approval granted by the user includes:
- Installed Apps
- Contacts
- Calendar information
- Device notification data
- Device storage (including photos)
- Phone call data
- Search history data
Personal data stored locally by the App as entered by the user includes:
- Notes / Reminders / Tasks
- Links
- Labels
- Search history
- etc.
Location
Tree Launcher may request access to your location for the purpose of providing a weather forecast and/or providing localized search results based on your device's location. If you grant Tree Launcher access to your device's location, no information about your device's location will stored by the Owner.
After explicit user consent, location information may be transferred to third party services to fetch current weather forecasts and/or provide localized search results. No personally identifiable information will be included in this transfer.
Sharing Your Information
We will share your information with third parties only in the ways that are described in this Privacy Policy.
We may disclose your personal information:
- As required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena, or similar legal process.
- To any other third party with your prior consent to do so.
What Third Party Services Are Used?
Tree Launcher makes use of third party services for purposes including but not limited to application stability tracking, general application usage tracking, feature testing and web search results. Such third party services may transfer user data such as unique device identifiers, unique device identifiers for advertising (Google Advertiser ID or IDFA, for example), device system logs and IP Addresses. These third party services have separate and independent privacy policies. We have no responsibility or liability for the content and activities of these services.
Firebase Crashlytics (Google LLC)
Firebase Crashlytics, a crash reporting tool provided by Google (Privacy Policy), collects certain types of user data to help Tree Launcher identify, troubleshoot, and fix crashes in the app. Overview of the types of data typically collected by Crashlytics:
- Crash Data (stack traces, error logs, events leading up to the crash).
- Device Information (model, OS version, orientation, battery state).
- App Information (version, SDK version, app state).
- User Actions (breadcrumbs, navigation events).
- Network and Connectivity (network type).
- Locale Information (language, time zone).
Google Analytics (Google LLC)
Google Analytics for Firebase (Privacy Policy) - often just referred to as Google Analytics - collects various types of user data to help Tree Launcher analyze user behavior and app performance for the purpose of improving functionality. Overview of the data that Google Analytics may collect:
- User Interaction Data: Screen views, events, session duration, user engagement.
- Demographic and Interest Data: Age, gender, general location (anonymized).
- Device and App Data: Device model, OS, app version, screen resolution.
- Traffic Source Data: Acquisition channels, campaign tracking.
- User Behavior and Flow: User journey, conversion tracking.
- Crash and Performance Data: App crashes, speed, and performance metrics.
- In-App Purchases and Revenue Data: Purchase details, ad revenue (if applicable).
- Retention and User LTV: User retention metrics and lifetime value.
The Rights of Users
Users may exercise certain rights regarding their Data processed by the Owner of the application.
Users have the right to do the following:
- Right to be informed: The user's right to be informed of how and why their personal data is being processed. Also, they have the right to know if the data is being shared with other third-parties.
- Right of access: The user's right to obtain from the controller, the confirmation as to the processing of their data and furthermore request to access their personal information.
- Right to rectification: The user's right to ensure that their personal data is accurate and updated as needed.
- Right to erasure: The user's right to ask the controller for the erasure of their personal data without undue delay.
- Right to restrict processing: Users have the right to object to or restrict the processing of their data if the processing is carried out on a legal basis other than consent.
- Right to data portability: The user's right to obtain their information provided to and stored by the Controller in a structured and machine-readable format or have their data transferred to another organization if feasible.
- Right to be notified: In case of a data breach, the data subjects need to be informed within 72 hours of first having become aware of the breach.
- Right to lodge a complaint: Users have the right to bring a claim before their relevant data protection authority.
